We were born from the union of two villages: Santiago Matatlán, birthplace of mezcal, and Guelatao de Juárez, an indigenous community in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca where communal life and respect for nature guide every decision.
From that union emerged Palenque 5 Estrellas, a family project that today represents the third generation of mezcal makers. From our parents to us, this legacy has been built with effort, hospitality, and deep respect for the land.
Each family member contributes their knowledge—from agave cultivation to innovation in food and beverages—to preserve tradition and transform it into unique experiences.
For us, mezcal is not just a drink: it is memory, culture and a bridge connecting Oaxaca with the world.
